Feliz navidad prospero año y felicidad

i wanna wish you a merry christmas

jajaja so navidad is in full chamba down here. we be breaking out the hot chocolate and the panaton. it's been a great week, but our friends luis and maria couldn't attend church. they were caught up in making chiffles. bummer. but i figure well get them next week. we have been contacting like crazy and we ran into a pastor evangelista, and he's now a good friend of ours. it was a funny story we were looking for bodoques. (like popsicles but in a bag they sell them in every house store. but we knock the door and he shows up from behind and they're like hey pastor we were like oooooohh. but we still bought bodoques jajaa  but we've seen him around a couple of times we even invited him to look at the church website. he's a cool guy i hope is some way we can help him see the light jaja

as for us we have had quite the christmas experience a few days ago we sang as part of the branch christmas devotional and  last night the entire zone got together and they did a live nativity and we sang a bunch of songs we even got the latins to sing once in royal david's city which they don't have in the spanish hymn book surprise. but we are doing really good down here my comp elder smith is a great kid full of faith and obedience really funny. because he's dragging me around jajaja but it's been great. i love having somebody who is more energized about the work then i am. but he's hitting the point in his mission where his dear mommy is asking him the hard questions where do you want to study. jaja and such other things like unto it. jajaja. really funny. but i'm glad. its not me this time. the craziest thing is that this week i turn 20 months yikes. wednesday is a big one although i still have almost 5 months left jajaja weird but cool. i've been thinking like crazy what i'm going to do after my mission and i've only come up with a few life goals and none of them include a major jaja but if anybody comes across a way to earn 20,000 in 1 year be sure to let me know. ajajaja.

the truth is that i've been thinking about working in a lot of things but still not sure. so that will be a big surprise.

lately we've been good. the only set back is i'm getting really fat. jajajaja too much bread.

btw i hope you sell the house before i get back. i dont want to have to move anything jajaja

today was a good day. we woke up at 6 30 ish which means somebody called us at 6 and we decided to ignore them.we spent about  a 1 hr running around paita we went to the sisters apartment to drop off some stuff and then to the bus station to pick up a package they weren't open. rats then we zipped down to withdraw the zones funds and it's been kind of like that all day. we have run water studied with a compañionship that's suffering and yeah it's been great. actually we have had a lot of fun elder smith likes to run and we've gone to the beach like every day. but the crazy thing that happened today was that pres called. and we were in the middle of the street. good thing he's a chill guy.

i'm just loving paita. it's a great place to be close to the beach. away from piura. and it's only really hot almost every day that's a lot better then everyday. jaja i love you all hope your being good, so santa will find you

talk you to wednesday.

Carta a la Misión

La Navidad entre vosotros POR EL ÉLDER JEFFREY R. HOLLAND Del Quórum de los Doce Apóstoles Tomado de “A Mission Christmas”, Church News, 17 de diciembre de 2011, pág. 10. Después, fuimos a tocar puertas. Nota 1. 1. James “Kim” Gannon, “I’ll Be Home for Christmas”, 1943.

Presidente Rowley

Tortuga, Paita, Peru

This last week has been pretty great. Last Monday, we played soccer on the beach. This week we went to Tortuga. jajajaja
Pirates reference this, it's a beach about 30 from Paita. It is awesome to be here, I really like Paita, as a local...it would be boss. I went to Piura, twice last week and tomorrow I'll be going again for the Christmas multi zone conference. Not sure what's going to go down there, but we have to sing and we haven't had time to practice jajaja but that's good. Also, we need to plan an activity for Christmas. I think we will be singing in the plaza, but it's just a waste of time if you ask me. I've never been much for caroling anyway. jaja I still love our hide outs from the carolers. jaja  Oh on the beach we found a dead sea lion .... and we went looking for penguins, but there aren't any...surprise. jajaja  I saw pelicans and seagulls and vultures and we played beach soccer. I scored two goals  like a man. jajaja

In our apartment,we've  got a type of water tower  and it's my new favorite place to chill. It's a concrete block on top of a cement wall jajaja not sure if that's safe jajaja but it's good. I hope you liked the Christmas Devotional. We saw about 14 mins of it, it was good. They are also starting to anounce the Trujillo Temple, that was cool. I hope there is a way that I get to see it, but I think that it will be dedicated after I leave.

Oh yeah, we also helped a member prepare chickens a lot easier then you would think, but you have to do it carefully. We got to be fast enough, so I won't  complain. The worst part was cleaning out the stomach, that's nasty and smells worse. jajaja  It was an awsome learning experience. Look out utah ducks I'm feeling hungry.

The weird thing I have been experiencing, is the desire to show Peru to all of you. To be honest it would be really easy for us to come. I know people for every half hour from here to Tumbres. jajaja  I know about all the cool places to go up north and there a quite a few.

Times up

BTW I don't think we will have much time to Skype Christmas Eve maybe like 40 minutes, my comps calling right after me.

MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU,
ELDER PREECE

i want to go to the beach.

tina ya fat lard come and get your stinking letter

i love you crazy bunch! i hope your freezing your butts off. i played soccer on the beach today jajajjajajajaja and then ate cow stomach woo hooo. paita's cool i really like it. it's a port city, so the men are just fishers. were working on that and the evangelicals are numerous, but we are working on that too. we live in a second story box it's about 12 ft by 12 feet, but that's not so bad less to clean jajajaja  geographically it's positioned -5.097378, -81.107430 ish it's the yellowish house next to the white one that says ciber but our area is about 5 blocks behind where we live and it goes until the city stops jaja it's full desert, but it's good like los polverines but not as bad. well it's worse but i'll live i always do. but the thing is that's cool is the beach is super close and that's awesome i love it. we've got few investigators, but high hopes we are really looking for the lords chosen and to do that we've got to look like crazy. but that's what's complicated, we have to be running here and there doing all sorts of zone stuff like water keys stupid but i guess we do get a lot of fun stories like sis ballard and the new sis pacheco from mexico left their keys and couldn't get in and stupid jaja but they're sisters, so we have to baby them jaja they ended up sleeping in the other sis apartment so no harm done. but the absolute worst part of my job is that i have to carry a cell phone i hate that. so much i really don't like being in a lesson and it's like oooooh president is calling crap. i always figured the nearer you are to the popo the faster yo butt gets put in jail, and now i'm just a fraction of a second away oh boy. but it's not that bad i shouldn't complain. hey but i was thinking if this city is like mexico i'm down. side tracked jaja

oh and the new thing el es la dadiva he is the gift not sure if you've seen it but you should and you should show it to everyone christmas.mormon.org. i believe it is the single best way the church has come up with to share the gospel. which is cool.

our goals for this week are to talk with a 121 people new and to baptize baptize baptize
lovin the sunshine and btws i would like to call home christmas eve that way clayt can talk real life. or any other time we've got about a week.

MERRY CHRISTMAS YA FILTHY ANIMALES

a quick one without pics.

the thing is this we had transfers this last week and it was a doosy normally we get them Saturday, so we can be ready. but they postponed until Sunday and then pres said he wanted to have a special transfer meeting that was Sunday at 1 and so that was just nuts. and It went like this. all of the piura zones were called and i was like alright i'm so glad i wont be in piura anymore .. . . . okay PAITA .   . . .  the first one Elder PREECE me ohh no YOUR COMPANION ELDER SMITH ..... whaaaaaaaaaat ..... MICHAEL SMITH ........ whhooooooo hooooooo.

i almost jumped for joy! Elder smith is one of the elders from my district in san bernardo he is a hardworking straight forward, fantastic missionary. jajaja i'm so excited.

so then we left the stake center and it was a crazy trip for a bit because now that they decided to make me a zone leader (which i did not want nor expected) that means i have to pay for people and stuff. booo so we had a fun afternoon getting to the apartment and tha'ts about when i realized that elder miller took my laundry bag with him and i have nothing jajaja not even a dirty pair of garments jajaaja and to top it off the entire mission is getting sick with a type of diarea that comes out like a fire hose jajaja and yours truly contracted it 3 weeks ago but i still ain't better. jajaja but the good news is that I'm doing better then smith jajajajajajajajajajajajajajajaja we didn't write yesterday because he was so sick he could barely get from the bed to the bathroom in time jajajaja but all is well with me. jajaja

i like our area. it's a port city, so lots of fish which is good cause i like it. but nobody has water because they haven't put pipes or anything. and it's hot nasty desert. but that's nothing new. odds are i'll stick here until the mission's up. but that i can handle. as long as i'm comps with smith for 2 transfers jajaja

life's good we built a part of the house of teresa before i left. but they ain't done. and well my comps set for a good transfer.

elder spencer got left behind but he's with elder mallo and mallo was a killler comp. just hope spencers up for him. he's crazy
.
i love you lots and hope that you all had a great turkey day. the closest thing we ate to turkey was duck but that's delicious.

Elder PReece
may the force bewith you.

btw they are watching bewitched behind me jaja love you mom
