Paita: FELIZ DIA DE SAN VALENTINO
I want you to know that el dia de amistad here is not as well celebrated . . . by the elders jajajajajajajajaja. No we had a great day, sharing the love of Jesus. . . . it's a whole other level. Today, we went to the beach...which is what we like to do. We always get there, but we have to make like a can of sardines. This is the last week of the transfer. and I'm sure that I'm going to stay here. It's been tough, I won't lie... mostly because as a missionary I put a high bar and you could say that I beat myself up to it. I think the hardest part about mission life is with your companion because when they aren't up to par .... you suffer. I have realized that if we are strong, then we get put with others who aren't. WHY . . . because when you have a strength you have to share it or use it. That's what happens. I realized that in my mission I have suffered a lot, but that's because God needed me to help others, and in the process of these pain filled experiences I have grown so much more than
I thought would be possible. I have learned too, that I need to fear God more then anyone or anything else. I have learned that stress and pain are natural. We are working hard here and I won't lie to you. Missionary work is a little tough in Paita because they work sooooo hard, but they are good people.
This last week I got sick and had diarrhea until.... whoa, but because of this I read the 2014 May Liahona jajaja. I think it's one of the best ever. I'm almost done with the November one but it's still got me down jajaja.
Lately I've been sick, stomach sick like "I CANT EAT THE STINKIN RICE" sick. I DONT WANNA, but hey I gotta.
Oh I'm not sure if I told you, but I've collected a bunch of seashells for the girls. I think that they would make cool necklaces, but you have to wait until May.
Other than that, I'm really boring. I could tell you about the zones drama like how they don't say elder or that they talk informally with the pronoun tu but that's really not that interesting. . . . . . . . . . . . well you should know that talk by writing is my least favorite mode of communication. I heard an interesting phrase... to papa monkey green bananas NO:...weird but works.
Oh yep I drew a blank
Love you keep strong and remember 18 of February. I turn 666 days old in the mission jajajaja.

Paita: your letter.
This week has been a crazy simple week, nothing really exciting happened, but I hope you liked my letter from last week jajaja. I have been trying to be super positive lately because the work has been tough. As I have done so, I've realized that I have been worried about a lot of things that really don't matter and I have had my eyes opened to the miracles that are all around me. Even though I sleep sometimes, well a lot in church jajajaja I am my fathers son. jajaja.
This last week, a less active family came for the second time and they brought their deaf child. They are a super cool family. Another family, that I have never taught but have ran into a few times that had been baptized about a year ago came too. This was also super cool. We didn't even see them this week. I know God's giving it all He's got...we really are just super lucky to have the gospel!
I love you lots. I've been thinking a lot really about something really really important... what I want to eat when I get back and I decided that I want waffles with bacon aaaaaannd strawberries, fresh strawberries. Yep and with whipping cream and orange juice, real florida orange juice...none of the tampico crap. I want this to be the first meal home with my family. Anything else I want, I will just have to come back to Peru for. jajaja. It took a lot of thought but then I realized that we can't eat pig or strawberries and waffles don't exist here soooooo done deal.
jajaja
On a more serious level, I would like you to know how my area is. The dirt here makes a nice layer of talc and everyone works in the fish. That's one of the hardest things about this part of the world, in the pota (giant squid) they are gone 10 days in the merluza no idea what that is but it tastes really good. 15 to 20 days and perico that's 30 days. Which really bites, because the people don't have time off. The rest work in the factories, and that's even worse. They usually work a week of graves and then a week of days. They only stop work for Sunday, but that is when they do all there shopping and washing and etc.
This week we haven't had water in our room.... bugs the crap out of my comp, but I'm chill. I figure at least, I don't have to poop in a hole like everyone that we visit soooooo I figure we are better off. Not that pooping in a whole bothers me much jajaja, but I guess a white shirt is really telling jajajajajaja. BTW in Peru, they don't buy building lots, they just build and hope that they don't get kicked out.
My comp is crazy awesome, a tad trunky but I'm alright with that. He was a dj before his mish and he loves all music especially electronic, so he sings all the time. I just ignore that but also we have had some very deep disney conversations and sing ins jajaja. We've been changing the lyrics to the songs, he usually makes fun of me for being trunky hahaha but all is good.
I WENT TO THE BEACH
