Mi querido y estimado Familia Preece
Well it's crazy but transfers are in and Villena is gone, but the really weird thing is that I kind of miss him. I don’t know how but perhaps it was the hating him with love that helped us get through it. I don’t know, but to be truly honest I'm just surprised. We really figured out how to make things work and have had a good time too. Even though we had a few really bad days, I'm just pleasantly surprised. I guess that’s the way things go, I've just got to learn how to enjoy the stage of life that i'm in.
Te odio con tanto cariño that’s what I always said to elder villena. This last week was pretty great because it was elder villenas birthday, so we had a party and played a ton of uno, we were really trunky and we went to buy hamburgers a lot, which was cool too. I tried to make banana bread, but it turned out really really bad, more like glob of cooked dough … not really sure what happened there. The other really dumb stories are that we had a few dumb jokes. The first was trying to find look alikes. Comparing dogs to people and that always goes bad when you start looking for the nastiest looking dog and then say hello my beloved and esteemed elder villena and then the dog would bark oh oy callate villena. That was pretty good and that always extended to the politicians ajaj because we've got elections next month, and they’ve gone crazy with the pictures and the posters. we have a good time making fun of each other especially with ivan cunya a future missionary. He leaves 24 of this month and his little brother gabriel. Needless to say that led to making fun of more people, and it was just a rather enjoyable time after the fights and the stupidness.
I am really excited for this next transfer, why? Well my comp is Elder Villalba and he's from …..wait for it …… Ecuador ….. jajajajajaja. This will be my 4th comp from Ecuador jaja, plus my mtc teacher served in Ecuador, and I think I've finally squashed my ecuatoriano hate but that goods. Elder villalba is a humble and very awesome kid I know that it's going to be a great transfer. He's from san pedro Ecuador about 3 hours from quito and and he has a brother and a sister and they are all members. They are one of the very few sealed families down here. That`s such a miracle! We have only spent a short time together, but he has just finished his training. He was trained by my pataza ( literally means huge foot—but it means super good friend) Elder Rich and he seems like he is a really obedient and hard working kid.
And the other thing is that I bought fruit loops, captain crunch, peanut butter and sublimes (chocolates) and tons of milk and bread and lots of other dumb stuff for a pizza and lasagna. I'll let you know that it’s the first time I've gone shopping in 3 months jaja because elder villena and I only ate bread and leche de soya and fruit jaja que loco.
I hope you all had a crazy good time in LP I will catch you all next time but really…..
As for me, I think I have never been better. I realize that the atonement is real and that in a huge way I know that God has given me the gift of 4 comps from ecuador because he knew what he was doing. He brought me down so that he could build me back up to be a better person and more loving than I have ever been before. It's been a crazy spiritual journey and I realize that I have lots of healing left but I have overcome some big hurdles.... like forgiving elder Martinez and elder melo … well almost … jaja. I've still got a ways to go. But to be honest I'm just happy, and I'm scared to death because sister boone goes home this week and she's the one that came out here with me in the first place. .. crazy.
I love you all and wish you a happy Monday.
Que la fuera les acompañe
