of the pictures you got: the classic gonzo, some wild flowers, the beach huts and the boat (that's for dad). it was freaking awesome. and the me sailing. i hope you like my cavels, the pants, they cost a lot but they look sweet. every body down here wears them. i love it. they dress super cool
so somethings about peru that i learned new: their beaches have white people in them. its crazy. haha and they like journey to livin on a prayer, hotel cali by the eagles, black eyed peas, ace of base, moves like jagger. yeah that's a blast like everyday and on top of the world by imagine dragons. yeah pretty much they got it all.
the bus service is fun you just stand on the side of the road flag somebody down to take you where you want to go weird but fun. and darn convenient if you only have two or three people. but with a crowd of missionaries it's tough.
peruvians think they speak castillano which is an accent of spanish that they use in argentina. It is really funny because a little kid ones told me habla español (you speak spanish) and i was like estamos hablando español (we speak spanish) and the parents are always saying learning castillano was really hard. right no learning español was pretty tough um
they have these coconut balls which are sweet.they a carmely coconutty awesome
most of their sweets aren´t too good, but i try them anyway. i haven´t found a cook book yet, but you should try arroz amarillo con pollo or carne de rez yellow rice is weird. also they have a sauce called tari, that's good. i have no idea how to make it but its from some famous chef in lima
the dogs here are so ugly. no joke they don´t have hair and are black naked. nasties uhgh make me shudder.
you guys need to make ciffles. look it up on the internet cause they be dang good with salsa de aji
also peru is the country with the animals drawings that can be seen from the sky. i didn´t know that. freaking cool.
they have things that look like cheetos but are not like cheetos. its quite depressing. they taste like a chili pepper. yeah its rough, and they don´t have sour patch kids or swedish fish. but they have lemon drop like candy. and their chocolate isn´t bad
also i don´t think you will ever get a package from me cause it costs 25 dollars for a half kilo and that's like nothing any way.
they eat cancho which is like popcorn but just the kernel and bigger. i don´t know how to make it yet. but i'm going to learn.
so this week is the last week of the transfer, and i got the match maker song stuck in my head. i won´t lie elder castillo is great, but i need to move on. cause we aren´t the most effective together. its been tough cause he is super serious.
oh i was watching the news as we were teaching a lesson (i will repent for that tonight promise) and the guys phone goes off and he picks it up. and they cut to commercial. let me tell you they do things differently down south. hahaha
in the church they have jovenes adultos soteros and adultos solteros, and they call it jas y as and its sounds like they are swearing all the time. i get so confused. haha
i decided as missionaries our day of rest got jacked, but i have to get back to work.
