so no pictures today. mostly because i left the memory card at the apartment and also cause there just wasn´t anything really good to take pictures of. i´m always on the look out, but hey the only thing i had to show you was my new pants and my super man socks. they're legit! and i had some voice recordings, but you will get three next week for the three weeks i didn´t send one. we are super busy here and really aren´t doing a lot. but we had 4 investigatores attend church and 4 or 5 less active families come. it was a small miracle. we haven´t had so many people go to church in this whole transfer. but there is always something to improve, and one of the things that we really haven´t had much of is new investigators. we have been knocking doors, but that's about as effective as peeing into the wind. perhaps not that bad but pretty much.
So the best worst thing of my life: we were teaching an older lady named calixta the first lesson and just as we were talking about the book of mormon in walks her husband, who we hadn´t met before, and he was super nice. He sits down asks us which church are you're from. i managed to say ¨the church of jesus cristo. . .
him: no all are from christ but what are you? evangelicals . ..
me: sí . . we´re form
him: so your evangelicals
me: no we´re from the church of jesus christ of latter day saints
him: so evangelicals

him: (with a face that looks like the devil himself has just entered his house.) MORMONS you mormons don´t believe in god
me: We believe in God
him no you don´t. your church is full of satan worshipers
me no we believe in God just as much as you do
him don´t lie to me like that you don´t believe in God. you're just here to build your churches and gather riches for the devil

him no you don´t. i have my catholic bible and my church and you don´t know anything

he was so mad and so convinced that we were lying that we believed in God
whew that was bad. me and elder castillo just laughed it off. especially cause we left a book of mormon with calixta hahahaha
I love this gospel, and I know its true. and ain´t nobody got the right to tell me i don´t believe in God.
I love you my famidamly and I am so glad that we have this gospel. i know my letters don´t usually have a huge religious tone, and that's probably because it still is weird to me that i am a preacher of sorts.
pero en realidad sé que esta iglesia es verdadero sé que jesucristo es el Cristo y que está es su iglesia. sé que he llamado por un profeta y he sido llamado a esta obra sé que tenemos un profeta verdedero y que el tiene el sacerdocio para guiar la iglesia. (but in reality I know that this church is true. I know that Jesus Christ is the Christ and this is His church. I know I've been called by a prophet, and I have been called to this work. I know that we have a living prophet, and he has the priesthood to lead the church.)
I love you guys and miss you its true. but this is where i need to be for the next 20ish months of my life. in this very short time i have learn so much about who i am and what i stand for.
and like every good missionary i have something for you to do: read your patriarchal blessing. this is the thing i love most about my study time is that i can read my personal scriptures
perú is awesome and i can´t wait to see more
oh and president is making the transfers, so we´ll see what happens.
